6A – 5th and 6th Grade Math

One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had, nor what my clothes were like, but the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child.

This is one of my favorite sayings.  It states what I believe.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I grew up in a home where education was always a priority.  I went to Catholic schools for 12 years.  When I went to college, it took me a year of working on a different degree to make me realize that I needed to follow my heart and major in education.  I haven’t looked back since!

I am the mother of 3 grown sons who are the product of All Saints and NDCL educations.  I have lived in Ohio for most of my life and love it here.   I have also lived in Fairfax, VA and Syracuse, NY.

Before I began teaching at All Saints, I had taught second grade and first grade.  I started at All Saints for the 2003-2004 school year as an afternoon Kindergarten teacher and loved it for 4 years!  When All Saints moved to full-day kindergarten, I was moved to junior high to teach Math.  Math has always been my favorite subject!  I have been teaching Math since then.

I enjoy getting to know a new group of students each fall.  As I continue to teach, I can only hope that, in some small way, I will make a difference in their lives.
